Yes. We ship anywhere. Our shipping rates to the U.S. mainland are listed with each item. For other orders, please inquire and we can quote you current shipping and handling costs.
Can I get a discount if I buy multiple items?
Typically not. You'll notice, if you do some comparison shopping, that my items are already priced quite low. But if you're interested in buying a WHOLE lot, then make me an offer (email@example.com); you never know.
What grading scale do you use for the condition records are in?
In general I use the terms for the condition of records in the following way:
GOOD: record is worn, scratched, with significant surface noise; it may be warped but can be played through.
VERY GOOD: record has some wear and light scratches but is playable; surface noise is noticeable, especially between tracks, but does not overwhelm the music.
EXCELLENT: record has only light wear and scuffs; some very light scratches are visible under strong light, but these are not very noticeable when played.
NEAR MINT: record has no apparent signs of wear; no warping, and no scratches visible even when seen under a strong light.
Please note that I take the age of the item into consideration here. Because of improvements in technology etc., a 78rpm record that is in, say, Excellent condition might still have more surface noise than one would have a right to expect from a more recent 45rpm graded Excellent. This is simply the way 78s are.
It should also be noted that, given the high number of records I sell, it is not possible for me to play them all to determine if there are, for example, skips or surface noise. I always examine them closely visually, but occasionally a record that appears to be Very Good or even Excellent will turn out to have a skip or more surface noise than one would anticipate. Given my store's volume, it is not always possible to prevent this. Be aware of this when buying from Anthropophage. (Of course, as indicated elsewhere in this FAQ section, you can always return items for a full refund if you are dissatisfied.)
